Angel of the Point

Ethereal and heavenly are just a few words that describe the angelic and divine ice form that rose overnight at Point Betsie.  The beauty of such a powerful force is the wonderment of what is not known.  For two days the ice cold winds blew across the Lake Michigan.  I was tucked behind the lighthouse waiting for the beauty to appear.  The skies were thick but broken and the ice held a combination of the light and color from the clouds.  Then standing facing due west, wind and water head on, I shifted my body to the face the Angel of the Point as She seemed to watch over me.  I believe in the beauty.
