All week it rained and all week I waited. I wished and wanted for it to rain on the one day I always wake naturally. Carefully I listened to the rain as I tossed in the night, knowing I would be able to chase the beautiful colors of fall in the cool rain. I woke early. Layering up is what I love when it comes to weather and being prepared. All of my lenses were ready and all of my senses were craving. I drove to a place I'd never been. I was surrounded by all things beautiful from the very first step. If I counted sixteen thousand steps, I smiled so many more. I stopped when the cedars spoke. I sat in the rain when the maples asked me to share something with them. It's personal when it's this close. Imagine a beauty that not only surrounds but truly includes.
